An Indian wearable brand was preparing a new fitness and wellness band for the mass-market retail segment. Because the target market was highly price-sensitive, the client needed to balance product cost, essential health functions, brand customization and stable supply. The client also wanted the flexibility to test the market before committing to significantly larger repeat orders.
The project required a commercially competitive smart band without removing the core functions expected by mainstream wearable consumers. At the same time, the product needed to support the client's own branding, local market presentation and software requirements. Cost control, customization flexibility and scalability were therefore equally important.
